Tortured with cruel indulgent jest
Aware yet dismally silent

Mourning forgotten hopes
Xanthippe Queen praises zinnober vanity.

After reading Beccalicious' challenge [link] I decided to give it a go and write a piece 26 letters long but the catch is each letter has to start with a different letter of the alphabet.

Ahem, forgot c and z.

Xanthippe - ill tempered woman
Zinnober - chrome green

The thoughts flow very nicely.
It's tough to have guidelines: 26 letters, start with a different letter each time, etc.
Great job.
